Peter, great to see a timeless classic re-incarnated (re-steeled? Smiler). Have you established projected prices for the Rising third bite DRs?

You are going to do wonders for the price of 1900 vintage Rigby Bissell Rising Third Bite double rifles.

Peter,

A bit of a surprise that the action does not have bushed strikers?

Best for the New Year,

Tim-

There are quite a few things that action doesn't have yet.
You'll see bushings (and a whole lot more) on the finished rifles.

Either way, it's great to see it coming together for the JR crew!

Happy Holidays Rigby!

Cheers
Tinker

whether we can personally aspire to own one is almost immaterial compared to the fact that the name has been restored to a position of respect and a product like this is forthcoming.

God Bless and best wishes.

Real Rigby and California in the same sentance, that is so funny, even though I know which way you lean.

I couldn't resist that one!

Actually, IMO the "real" Rigby is neither, and that the only "real" one is the origional Rigby from long ago.

With that said, I would love to own one of either "modern" Rigby's double's.

The current iteration of Rigby is owned By the same company that owns Blaser, Mauser and Sauer. I saw some of their magazine rifles at the SCI show....quite nice. If nothing else, it will bring down the price point of the Mauser 98 Magnum action due to its being used both for Mauser and Rigby.

I am acquintances with the action maker Rigby is using to produce the actions. I know he has begun working on the first rising bite action, not sure if it has been completed as I havent seen pics in a while. I can say one thing, the machinist an ex-purdey machine shop foreman does exceptional work. I know it will yield a top notch rifle.

Just remember that anything said by PeterDk is a lie. He is a fraud and a cheat. Hopefully in jail by now.

While in Mozambique a fellow hunter had a Cali Rigby in 500. It was quite nice and he took a dandy buffalo with it.

It has always puzzled me a little when a burgler walks into someones home to steal. That must be the biggest risk in the world..not knowing What kind of people they might face. The same parralle can be drawn here of someone who commits fraud. They don´t know who they are cheating. Some day the cheater might meet someone they have cheated.
Not good wisdom in life to cheat, lie or fool to anyone.

Rusty,

That's a friend of mine's rifle. It's pretty impressive. He has ordered the first rising bite in .500 and another friend has ordered a .416 to be made a look alike to his original pre war .416 Rigby. They should be nice.

Searcy websitedon't offer a rendition of the Bissell Rising Bite action anymore,
Theres no longer anything on his website showing or referring to it.
Searcys version was never quite the precise copy of an orig. BRB action anyway.
