Well, as a "DRSS po' boy member", I am happy RIP joined. In addition to my .45-70 DR, I had the audacity to take a Stoeger 12ga SxS, put rifle sights on it and rifled chokes. The DRSS welcomes those members of the BATSS. As members of the shooting fraternity, the DRSS understands that use of another type of rifle may occur. The Society grants a certain "dispensation" in these matters. As far as DRSS hunts go, it seems that 4K Ranch in Brady Texas has become a "Managed Property" and they are still hunting deer when we usually hunt in January. I think the high priced trophy deer hunts, trapping and helicopter hunting of hogs pushed us out the door. The DRSS would also like to note the fellowship and kindness of Jeffesso and his "Band of Bubbas" along with their Accuratereloading.com Big Bore Association. We have worked closely together to put on our "Hoot and Shoots" at Bayou Rifles, Inc. in Houston, Texas. Hopefully we can put together a shoot this Spring? Rusty We Band of Brothers!
