JPKIf your search, you might find a Pedersoli 45/70 double for $2,500. They are pretty nice rifles, much nicer than the gun in the link.

Like the previous poster said, buy a Baikal if you want a 45/70 DR
which even I think would be better than that.

Sgt BrownI have two Remington Spartans. Kinda expected the responses I would get. Especially liked the one about it not being proofed. There is kind of a line between "homemade" and "custom-made" and I think this is on the homemade side.
A better DR? Maybe someday.
