My understanding is there is still a Manton's shop in Calcutta but they are long out of the firearms business and will not release any records. You can get reprints of their catalogs online and they are a great resource for those interested. Cal, Yes, if you find any info about obtaining records, I would like to know also. I have a Manton 98 Mauser in 404 Jeffery with a Calcutta address, and have not been able to find any History.
