I thought they had always been held by the families of the original managers in India and that they would not release them. Hope you prove me wrong.

My understanding is there is still a Manton's shop in Calcutta but they are long out of the firearms business and will not release any records.

You can get reprints of their catalogs online and they are a great resource for those interested.

I found this string about Manton's with a quick search on the web, I'm sure there is more available.

Yes, if you find any info about obtaining records, I would like to know also.

I have a Manton 98 Mauser in 404 Jeffery with a Calcutta address, and have not been able to find any History.
