There is an "in-between" rifle made by S.A.I.C.E. in Italy for around $5000 new, the Kodiak which I think is around $2500 these days (couldn't get your link to open, Rusty) and maybe the Remington for $900 one day. "Experience" is the only class you take where the exam comes before the lesson. | |||

aglifter i have a 45-70 built on a ruger red label by dietrich apel ( former owner of new england custom gun ) when he worked for his uncle paul jaeger in jenkintown, pa. it is a super shooter and light recoiling. the bbls and action are heavy enough to rebore to a larger cal if desired ( say 45-120 which lets you shoot the entire family of 45-70 cartridges) or take it out a full nitro if wanted. it also has a set of 20 ga bbls condition is about new - price was $7,500 i will take $6,500 if interested i can send pics. tom TOMO577 DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY | |||

One thing about Kodiaks, they go up in price as regular as clock work. I hadn't priced one in about 3-4 years. $3500 is too high, much less $5000 for me to be interested. I'd rather save another year and get an old original hammer gun. "Experience" is the only class you take where the exam comes before the lesson. | |||
