Well... It took me a while to find just the right backdrop, but I think it might just live up to Shootacow's standards... I had to balance just right to get the full gun (less just the very tip of the barrels), the box, the light just right and my foot in the picture.

I know you are all proud of me:

I was just looking at the double-that is what I should be looking at as it is the only thing that really interests me.Unfortunately other people are more interested in other things.I understand why someone might take a picture on a box-as I do not know his state of affairs and dont really care.BTW,that looks like a crappy double.

It's a 140 6.5x55. As I understand, Merk made a small frame of their 140 prior to going to the adjustable regulation 141 version.

It's a wonderful DR and I have not found ammo that it will not shoot.

Yeah, it really is. I find this one to be very useful for most of North America, Africa and Europe. I'm doing a stag hunt in Scotland this year and it will be the rifle I carry. It's a great gun for everything up to the big bears and larger african animals. This one has double triggers, with the front being set and claw mounts.

Merk makes the 141 with adjustable regulation - Merk made a mistake, in my judgement, going to the 141 (although a very nice gun in its own right)... When I bought this gun, I really wasn't sure what model it was - Several AR members helped me figure it out. The 140 is a different animal - I like the Idea of having a DR regulated properly (although that is no more than a personal preference).

Although a nice composition I have a few suggestions.....

You need a soiled concrete floor for a background

A little more trash both in and around the box

Loose the shoe, go barefoot

Smiler

Not only that but it would probably be best to not cut your toe nails for a month or so, and maybe have some toe jam in between. And of course, having a piece of shit rifle as the subject instead of your nice Merkel would help achieve the shootacow affect as well. Just sayin!

Cool

Todd: I'm watching that other thread with all the issues Eland Slayer is having, I'm thinking I'm glad I have several Merk's and a good company to stand behind them...

First thing jumped out at me was the absence of any empty beer cans...
