Needless to say, I was quite impressed when I received this photo.

No, not a shotgun... a 450/400.

That is a beautiful 450/400 with fabulous wood.

What model is that?

Cheers,

Chris

Negative... 450/400. He told me the shot was about 40-yards 75-yards , and he hit the bird just above the breast; saving the meat.

How cool is that?

BTW, I sure wish I had that stock blank back from that rifle... those are hard to come by.

I would love to take a turkey with mine, sadly it is shotgun/archery only up here.

Actually the shot on the Rio Grande Tom taken with my Heym 450/400 was at a laser ranged 75 yards using Hornady Solids. My hope was that he would come within 40-50 yards but when he stalled at 75 I planted him.

Distance corrected.

Good shooting James... maybe it was the fox that was at 40-yards?

Nope. Fox at 60! I think you are getting the 40 yards injected into your brain housing group via the discussion around my hopes that the turkey would walk in within 40-50 yards.

Anyway, I can't wait to get my hands on the new 577.

JK - Sorry, but I have not received them. Let me check the spam folder on our server. Sometimes they get caught there.
