Bird hunting with your double rifle?

Needless to say, I was quite impressed when I received this photo.

No, not a shotgun... a 450/400.

BTW, I sure wish I had that stock blank back from that rifle... those are hard to come by.

Actually the shot on the Rio Grande Tom taken with my Heym 450/400 was at a laser ranged 75 yards using Hornady Solids. My hope was that he would come within 40-50 yards but when he stalled at 75 I planted him.

Good shooting James... maybe it was the fox that was at 40-yards?
