Hey guys, anyone know of any retailers that have any of the inexpensive Hornady 470 ammo IN STOCK ?
I'm looking to test drive a double in the very near term.

We had a box of inert Hornady .470 in the booth at SCI, but Hornady doesn't have loaded ammo out yet, as they haven't finalized the load. I asked a friend at Hornady about it. He said he expected to have it out by April or May.

Hornady JUST finished the run on the bullets, and is doing the .510s next. They were more than kind enough to provide me with some solids to do testing with on my 470 AR

I wouldn't expect loaded ammo for at least a month

I still havn't seen the DGX or DGS slugs for sale anywhere yet. The softs are listed only a few dollars less than the Woodleigh's, but the solids look like one could save considerable money when compared to other solids. Surely Midway, Huntington's, and others, will have them by the end of the month? Does anyone see a problem in using the DGS in a double rifle?
