I got in on the Chapuis group buy with some of the rest of us for the UGEX 9.3x74R.This will be my first dbl. in this calibre.I'm assuming that I'm not the only one compiling components while eagerly awaiting delivery.Brass,bullets,dies,etc.My question here is:Is this rifle regulated for the 286G. bullet?I'm wanting to get a set of moulding blocks + will probably have to get them made.Had good luck with Mountain Moulds in the past.I have'nt seen much avaiability of 366 moulds.I'd appreciate any input on this.

Norm,
Dale told me the rifle would be regulated with a 286 grain bullet. You may want to confirm with him at what difference. I believe it is at 100 yards.

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! Norm:

I am looking at trying some .358 cast bullets with a paper-patch to increase the diameter. Since I already have a .35 Whelen, it would be nice if I only had to cast one bullet. Shoot it in the Whelen as cast, patch it for the 9.3. According to the reading that I have done, the paper patch increases the bullet diameter by about .007 to .009 inches, which would be perfect. Moulds for .358 diameter bullets are also very common.

Buffalo Arms also has brass @$109per 100 IIRC.
But it'd take a call to find which brand.

I bought 100 Normas from Midway for $92.36 day before yesterday.I still intend to get some from Dale also when + if that deal transpires.Last time I talked with him he was looking at trying for 4000 or thereabouts.Should be able to get an even better price on bulk sales.Concerning the scope mounts,I debated on after market but decided, well,in for a penny in for a pound. As long as they're building it spec. might as well have them install that too.I did;nt price NECG for mounts on this rifle although I did get a set a while back for my 03 Mannlicher + those were $450.00.Nice job,but the Chapuis factory was $100.00 less.I'll post more on my mould search as info becomes available.
