I am now embarrassed as to how terrible my previous pronounciation of this word was.

Now if I can just learn to say "blah sure".....

That is another one I had wrong for years. Along this line though I have given up trying to get my brother to pronounce it "say bow" versus "sabb but"

Note there is no long or short syllable in French.
Each syllabe is pronounced.
