I am considering the Searcy classic in 450/400J with 26" barrels and QR Tally mounts. Has any one handled this rifle and what did you think of it and its balance? Adam C.

I handled one at the Dallas Safari Show. It was a nice handling double. I think it is the best rifle Butch Searcy has ever made. If I was to order one I would get 26" bbls and QD scope mounts. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY

Tisk, tisk, tisk, Tony! This is now the second time I've had to correct you. The Classic is Butch's second best rifle he's built after our .577! ![]() Just breaking stones, my friend! ![]() 577NitroExpress Double Rifle Shooters Society Francotte .470 Nitro Express ![]() If stupidity hurt, a lot of people would be walking around screaming...

577NE After i shoot that Beast I just might change my mind. ![]() As you well know I have always had a soft spot for a 577 Nitro. After I shoot one I will know if I "need" one. I think a 577 is the epitome of "ELEPHANT GUN" [Yes I know the term elephant "gun" refers to the big smooth bore guns. But I submit that the Nitro Expresses took their place and thus deserve the title Elephant Gun]. Plus with the 650 grain bullets meant for the 577 BPE it will be just the ticket on wild pigs.
