I have been trying now for several weeks to reach Peter Nerving (PeterDK) and am getting no answers to phone calls, PM's, or returns to emails. Curious if anyone has been in recent contact with him and hope he is OK. As some of you know, some of us on AR went together and bought a new Double 500NE from Peter for John Greeff now that he is left handed. John was just at my house and had lots of rifle questions that I just could not answer as I did not know. I knew there were some engraving delays, etc. but it would have been good to have talked to Peter while John was here. I may have an old email address now and would appreciate it if someone that has been in contact with Peter could see that he reaches me. I had a hard drive crash in January and that may have something to do with it. I thought the DR forum may be the best place to reach him. Maybe even some of the Danish crowd on AR. Anyway, appreciate any help,

Larry

I heard from Peter on the 18th of Feb. He seemed in very good spirits and was wanting to know if I had interest in a Purdey. The last response I received was on February 22nd. I imagine he will be in touch with you soon, he's a good guy. He was on the boards a couple days ago, try sending him a PM.

Thanks GW, I did send him a PM, just concerned I was not getting through for some reason.

If you are in contact, please pass on my message that I need to speak with him.

Thanks,

I last heard from Peter on Feb. 28th. Says he is fine.

Still waiting for an answer to a question I asked him a couple days ago though...

As far as I know Peter, he seems like a First-Class guy and a real gentleman. I guess he is just kinda busy at the moment.

Just to be clear all, I am a friend of Peters as well,, I just have been trying to reach him and had no luck,, that is all. No need for the defense, just trying to reach him. No intent on my part for you to read this as anything but a query to whether anyone has talked to him or can get a message to him.

Gotcha. tu2

I was in the same boat a little over a week ago. I thought the PM system was messed up also. It wasn't, Peter was just busy. I'm sure he'll get with us when he gets the time.

Hello Charl,

I can't answer that but to say that I have tried to contact Peter als Nerving via email, PM and Skype many, many times over the past month.

The last I heard from him was March 10th and it was regarding my father and his recent cancer diagnosis.

Again, since that time all of my efforts at communication have been met with silence.

I have seen NO posts on AR from folks you have given money to PeterDK or his company and not received anything. So, while I appreciate your concern, let's see where they are before we make such statements, unless you know who they are.
Just my 2 cents, Peter.

Peter DK - Peter Als Nerving is a cheater. There are gunshops here in Denmark, who doesn't want to see him!

Shame on those people who has recommended Peter DK without actually knowing him! Others are paying the price for that.

Peter:

Wow! Ask and you shall receive.

Didn't take long to get quite the response, did it?

Here's a post about rifles Peter (the one in Denmark and not my friend from Jacksonville Big Grin) was offering for sale. Double Rifle

Did anyone order one? If so, was delivery as promised? If received, what is the quality?

If the guy is bad news (and I certainly don't know) I'll be quite disappointed since a quality .450 N.E. for less than $7K Is something in which I'm quite interested.

Since, I know absolutely nothing about this controversy (except I have spend time with some of the folks) I guess I'll go buy some single malt to sip while this plays out.

Speaking of single malt, Peter. Want to have another tot at Carrabbas' one evening?

JudgeG ... just counting time 'til I am again finding balm in Gilead chilled out somewhere in the Selous.

I guess you can solve this issue quick
Order a double from Bailey Bradshaw
Please wait a year so Biebs and I can get ours.
Hoping to get a Jumbo with my new 450 NE Falling Block Double. Not hoping to shoot the Jumbo hoping I have my new gun. The jumbo is with Karl S so he is the Jumbo Wizard.

The last activity on his facebook page is May27.
There are photos of rifles under construction there, including what appears to be the first taksdale serial number on action flats.

It seems that I put my foot squarely in it! I did not know about activities outside of the AR forum, and, not being in the know, I only know what I read on AR. My apologies to those affected.
For the record, I had been in touch with PeterDK back when he was with London Rigby, but nothing transpired and no money changed hands. Obviously I am a neophyte!
JudgeG, absolutely! I will give you a call. If you have a place to shoot up there maybe I should travel this time? I want to see some of your new toys!
Peter.
PS. JudgeG thanks for the link. I see that I even participated in that discussion!

I see you have deleted your earlier post that he is a "friend and one of the good guys" (IIRC) as mentioned by A. Dahlgren.

Why the deletion of your recommendation of him and now the comment of "disturbing allegations"? Distancing yourself from your "friend"?

I corresponded a lot with Peter over the past couple of years regarding his doubles, hunting, etc. He seemed like a nice guy and had been involved with the relaunch of Rigby of London and I had no reason to doubt his honesty. I think that we have all met people on here that we consider friends, at least I know I have. Before you two start casting accusations my way you may want to remember that none of us know what, if anything, is going on with Peter and yes the allegations that have been made are disturbing and I do hope that he comes through on whatever commitments he has made. I can see that the AR kangaroo court will be in full swing before any of the evidence is in. At any rate, if any of this does turn out to be truth the only thing I am guilty of is trusting and trying to support someone that I shouldn't have so you two can stick it as far as I am concerned.

Where did I accuse you of anything? I asked a question or two. Sorry if it ruffled your feathers.

As far as telling us to "stick it" most here will remember your previous life on AR as "Adrook" before Saeed banned you. I see you haven't changed a great deal with your current comments.

I just find it humorous that you delete your comments, then attack us for pointing that out.

And you are right, the facts are not all in and let's hope nobody gets burned.

I've done nothing wrong here so don't attack me. I've had nothing to say except that I hope the allegations aren't true and it works out for everyone. Trying to place part of the blame on me for whatever Peter may or may not have done is ridiculous. I'm finished with this. You guys have fun from the peanut gallery.

No answers from Peterdk?

Peterdk contacted me and my college in August 2010 concerning Afrikanska kompaniet´s made to measure gun cases. He told us that he needed about 50 - 100 cases for his rifle production. I believe it was 12 gauge fully rifled side by side double rifles he was producing or was pretending to produce.

My college flew to Copenhagen in order to meet Peter.

They had a short meeting in the evening of the first day as my college arrived late.

Day 2, when they where supposed to discuss the deal, Peterdk was gone and couldn't be contacted! So my college went back home to Stockholm.

We haven't heard anything from him about the cases since then or why he never turned up day 2.

I have seen that Peterdk has written here at the AR forum after that -but not a word about all the rifles he was supposed to make!

Strange bloke indeed thumbdown

I have had a great deal of very entertaining conversation with Peter over the past three or four years, here and elsewhere on gun forums as well as off-line on telephone and skype.

I know he was having some frustrating scheduling troubles with at least one of his vendors, but I hadn't been following very closely the details of his company business.

I hope that somehow this scene clears with results that bring everyone satisfaction.

Cheers

Its the same story I hear from people here in Denmark. Lots of big talk, but no walk. Once the chips has to fall, Peter is gone.

peterdk told me (via PM) on February 6, 2011 that his first batch of C class DRs were at the engraver and that he expected to have them within 30 days. Haven't heard from him since.

Take that for what it's worth. I believe some here did send him money for a DR that never was delivered. I wish they would give us the facts of what happened and what they know. Nobody should be ripped off on AR and if it has happened we need to let everyone know so that no one else gets burned.

I am not a victim, but everyone should understand that he is apparently a bad guy and a con-man who is running international scams via the internet by using forums such as AR. If you have sent him money, do not let him promise you that he will make it right; he won't and is only stalling and conning you some more to prevent you from filing the appropriate police reports.

The economy over the last 3 or 4 years has taken many people on a roller coaster ride. One end of the spectrum is someone like Bernie Madoff. Most others are just ordinary guys running a small business and getting squeezed for credit and poor cash flow. Montana rifles is a great example of how an honest man can struggle for 5 years.

I would give Peter the benefit of doubt and wish he can turn things around.

There is a huge difference between an individual or business falling on hard times and maybe getting behind with their payments and a “con artist” I hate to use these forums to air dirty laundry but I have to add the following from my personal experience with Peter Nerving. Now I feel that I should have said something sooner as I am starting to see the possible extent of his activities.

Peter Nerving’s ability as a gunsmith is questionable, he fails to honour his word and he is a liar. Therefore from personal experience I cannot recommend him.

I run a very reputable business and can supply references worldwide. Please note that I post this openly under my name and anyone is free to contact me direct regarding this issue at: John@wolverinesupplies.com
