Went to CZ website ( http://www.czub.cz/ )and found that double barrel rifles are gone, just one combo and one single shot; sad news for all of us who had seen Brno Super. Still kicking my self for not purchasing Super shotgun and spare double rifle barrels while they were both available for less than $2000, albeit some 20 years ago.

Any picture, any resemblance to previous models? Personally, I would like to see it built on 20 gage frame. I had seen double barrel Beretta 9.3x74 on small frame and it’s just gorgeous. Can’t comment its durability. Thanks.

Onty, there is a CZ .458 O/U for sale on Gunbroker for less than $7000, allegedly NIB. It looks, and I imagine balances, very much like the model 584 combination gun. Check it out. There is of course a picture of the gun.

FWIW- As Jeffe said, I rechambered my 589 o/u to .458 lott( by Hand) and made two 125 yrd offhand shots on a pig last year. At 100yrds its uusually 2.5 MOA which is as well as I can shoot a NM prepped Garand. Damn fine hunting gun. It only weighs 8.5 lbs. I'd say 7.5 K is not an unfare price. No other double gun I've ever owned has been as accurate.-Rob

This one http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=78805337 ? Unfortunately, I do not need 458. Too bad that this one isn’t 9.3x74 or 375…

Looks like excellent design, with both, Krsten and underbite locks. Also seems to me that it has monoblock barrel receiver. If so, in my opinion it is better designed than Brno Super. I cannot understand why CZ cannot start production of those doubles. With modern CNC machines and separated barrels*, production and barrels regulation would be snap, and consequently, retail prices should be very attractive.

* That is the reason why I prefer 20 gage frame; rifle will have slimmer lines and smaller gap between barrels. On top of that, locking would be bit stronger for less weight because of the shorter distance between top chamber and barrel pivot point.
