Read their description. Don't know why anyone would want a gun with a jaguar engraved on it! Big Grin

On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

How much would it cost to get it surface ground to get the cartoons off it?

Yes and I believe a Cape Buffalo... not a Water Buffalo...

Bad engraving will forever hurt the value of this rifle. Too bad because the scroll work looks good...rifle is a beauty....but the animal scenes are some of the worst I have ever seen. The buffalo is the worst...look at the face and the feet....

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! As someone who has purchased a Searcy, I can attest to the fact that when you use Butch's standard engraving for rose and scroll, the metal cutting is very nice.

When you want animal scenes engraved, you have your choice of engravers. Butch does not stipulate which engravers you used.

The engraving on the gun should NOT have any bearing on people's opinions on Butch's products, but rather on the client's choice of engravers.

Absolutely, Butch makes gorgeous guns. This one has been "custom engraved" outside of Butch's control and probably haunts his dreams at night.

OR, a water buffalo either!

This discription was written up by a bass fisherman, who has never even seen a double rifle, a JAGUAR(leopard), or a WATER BUFFALO(Cape buffalo)in his life! But I'd bet you he can name every lure in that store, and what will work on bass, and what won't! clap
