Bad engraving will forever hurt the value of this rifle. Too bad because the scroll work looks good...rifle is a beauty....but the animal scenes are some of the worst I have ever seen. The buffalo is the worst...look at the face and the feet.... ****************************************************************** R. As someone who has purchased a Searcy, I can attest to the fact that when you use Butch's standard engraving for rose and scroll, the metal cutting is very nice. When you want animal scenes engraved, you have your choice of engravers. Butch does not stipulate which engravers you used. OR, a water buffalo either! This discription was written up by a bass fisherman, who has never even seen a double rifle, a JAGUAR(leopard), or a WATER BUFFALO(Cape buffalo)in his life!
