I have been involved in a couple of Primate incidents, but not in this one. Most of you would not believe just how strong and how violent the larger Primates can be. DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY

Not just the large ones. In graduate school I had a job running a breeding colony of rhesus monkeys (I was combination monkey dating service and obstetrician). We had a bunch of rhesus monkeys. The babies were cute, the teenagers were manageable, the adult females not so manageable, the adult males, watch out. We handled them sortl like they handled the guy in Silence of the Lambs. Cages with panels to pin and immobilize them. The word from my Prof was they were 7x the strength of an adult human, and I don't doubt it. A 50 pound rhesus male with 2 inch canines could take you apart in a blink. Bob

Actually gorillas seem to be the least dangerous primate. Not that they couldn't tear you into little pieces if they wanted.

Primates are very dificult to dart as well They wil actually catch the darts out of the air. You have to trick them to accomplish this by having more than one person with a blow gun so they do not know who will be the one who has the real dart. They learn real fast.
