At Brady this weekend, I saw a swivel scope mount on Brain1's Merkel. MJines indicated they looked just like a Recknagel system he had on a previously owned Chapuis. I figured I'd search the web for some info, but was unable to locate any site with pics and good descriptions. Anybody know where I can learn more about these?

Jim,

Yes I got home fine - just a long day. It dawned on me on the way home that I never got to handle your Heym Frowner but we'll have to remedy that at the next meeting.

I found this website right off the bat, but they don't show any pics of the mount I saw on Brain1's Merkel - the website calls it their ERAMATIC mount. I was hoping that maybe another website would provide better pics and specs. Thx.

Go to my entry titled Merkel 141 scope mounts on this forum and see if these aren't close. They fit the factory installed rear base on my Merkel. Cost is reasonable and fit is impeccable. Have many different configurations.

Maybe a bit late but here is my Eramatic H7 from Recknagel. Just follow this link:
https://forums.accuratereloading.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/760101804/m/954101076

It has a S&B 1,25-4 in it and is mounted on top of my Krieghoff Classic.

Works like charm!

Putting a scope on a double rifle is a sure sign of perversion, get to a shrink as soon as possible! Smiler
