You bet on the 577 Biebs, and that is okay for Ed, I'll bring a 505 Gibbs down so he may slay with his namesake if he wishes. Cool

Not looking like my ability to follow instructions to post photos from Photobucket is panning out.

So, what dates are your looking at? I might like to try out my Searcy 375 H&H Flanged, if Butch would have it done by any of the dates. Depends on when the hunt is and if he could get it done.

If there is room and the timing works, I would love to hunt some hogs. My double is STILL on it's way over from the UK (proof issues). With any luck it will be here before the hunt, if not, I could bring the 7.62 SMLE or .375.

BwanaCole, if your rifle is not back in time for the hunt, I will have a couple of doubles there and you will be welcome to use one of them for the hunt!

As some of you may remember, I organized a number of the DRSS hunts over the years with Rusty's permission. I've taken a break to a lot of things since my wife passed away a few years back, but now that my new life has settled to a comfortable level I'm picking up some of my old hobbies again.

Regarding a DRSS hunt, I can tell you with certainty that the ranch we hunted about eight or so times (4K Ranch) is not currently offering hog hunts on their ranch - I spoke to Matt about a month ago and he confirmed that he is not taking hog hunters for at least a year. I will continue to contact him to see if anything changed.

For another DRSS hunt, someone would need to find a ranch with accommodations for at least 12+ hunters. I've looked at a few places but their $$$$ is far about what we were paying at 4K. (Three nights accommodations, two days of hunting with three hogs and guide services for $550/person.) After tips, hiring a camp cook, food, etc, it was about $8-900/person for a great three days of hunting.

I think Wade has a good line on a hunt. A hunt with MMK Outfitters would be very close to our 4K hunts. Even better is that for a modest fee for each hunter they would provide meals. At 4K we hired our cook and bought food.

I can't make the hunt. New place in the Texas Hill Country (Knight Ranch aka El Rancho Deluxe) is taking all my time and funds.
Blame Wade. He found it for me!
Hopefully when I get the ranch set up I can have some DRSS over for a weekend hunt.

MMK is a good outfit. I have done a hunt with them and they surely do what they say.
