If I didnt have a rifle on order would of seriously considered buying this:

A tad light for a 500 NE but it sure does appear to be a nice rifle, chopper lump barrels, right and left hand stocks, etc.

My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.

Ad states it was originally built for a lefty then restocked for a righty.

I have shot that rifle at least 3 different times.

It will place a right and a left touching at 25 yards.

I never shot it farther than that as because of the range I was shooting it on.

It is a good shooting and handling double.

Seems light for a 500NE. How was the recoil?

That gun was owned by a friend of mine here in texas. He was a lefty and his son was a righty so they had it stocked right handed so they both could use it.

It was purchaced in 2005 or 2006 by 500grains from Cabelas-- Sidney. It is a fine rifle and shoots great!

Recoil was not bad. The gun did not hit my second finger, and it did not slap my face.
It is one of the most comfortable 500 doubles I have shot.
