Has anybody replaced the rear sights (all leaves fold down) on Ped. Kodiak? This is one of my main complaints of this DR. Want a single standing express and one or two folding leaves.

Also, thinking about reaming to 45-120 3 1/4". As the rim thickness is same as 45-&*

Thanks,

Keith

Have you ruled out TIG welding a leaf up? It would seem to be the simplest approach if practical.

Edit: I think we had this discussion before but do not remember if you were concerned about the heat. I know I have talked to others about it who thought it could be done.

Charles, yes it could be TIGed up, but it would never be a strong as a proper standing sight. As they are much heavier in construction.

One option though untradtional, would be to make a new blank for the rear and install an XS ghost ring peep. Making do with a single rear sight.

New England Custom gun has single standing and standing/folding sights in traditional dove tail. I've used a single standing on my 35 Whelan. Bob

Not sure. I used it on my Mauser. just needed a tiny bit of filing to fit to standard dovetail. Bob
