As you can see the hammer can't fall unless the trigger is pulled.

Absolutely beautiful! Good show Butch! Now that is the way to build an interceptor system! ....................................................................................... ....Mac >>>===(x)===> MacD37, ...and DUGABOY1 DRSS Charter member "If I die today, I've had a life well spent, for I've been to see the Elephant, and smelled the smoke of Africa!"~ME 1982 Hands of Old Elmer Keith

Can we have a picture of one without "intercepting Sear"?

It would just be missing the "intercepting sear" bar that you see in the picture; that piece with the downward facing hook is the intercepting sear which will not let the hammer fall unless the trigger is pulled. You can see that when you pull the trigger, the intercepter sear is pushed up and our of the way so the hammer can fall. If the trigger is not pulled and you drop your rifle and the sear is jarred out of engagement, the hammer can only fall until the intercepter catches it. That is why some people like it, but I don't need it. 99% of double rifles ever made don't have them. It is a safety feature, however.
