Fact is, I already took the .577 over and shipped it this morning. So Ken will have it back by Thursday, and I can start looking forward to seeing my new .600NE!

Start collecting the components ...

That's one of the coolest sets of pics I've sen posted in a long time! Thanks CCMDoc.

Congratulations Aaron!

Mike - I bought a .475 B&M from Mr. 458, and its a beautiful rifle!! Unfortunately its not mine, I bought it as a Christmas present for my client, Lary Knowlton. He's bringing it to TZ/Zambia this year, as we are doing back to back 21-day hunts in each country - so I should get to fire it once or twice.

Can't wait to see how it works on Buff/ele.

Thank you!

Ole Doc here has offered to send me a handful of the nickel-plated brass/loaded rounds for the new .600! I thought that was awful nice of him. They really make for a classy look, I think anyway.

I've just now asked that my rifle be sent to me from the load development folks. Just cannot wait any longer to put my hands on it for the first time.

Sounds like a great pair of full bag safaris! What areas will you be in? You know I am a big, big fan of the Luangwa Valley and that my big Lion came from the Mwanya area, between the parks. I really think that area is as close as one can get to heaven on Earth!

And yes, Michael is an enabler! With or without the thong! Eeker

Ok boys, you keep this thong thing up I am going to drag the photos out of me rolling in the bullets naked in the floor! I will say this, that thong kept some of those larger "Projectiles" from going places they should not be!

Mike - We are hunting western Tanzania from Aug. 10 - 30 in the Lukwati Game Reserve, then we go directly to Zambia's Lunga Luswishi GMA in the northern Kafue from Sept 2 - 22 (my favorite place in all of Africa)

JC - I am sure you're gun is just fine!! My problem is, I am a terrible shot - thus I need the biggest gun out there.

Ya I know, shot placement is what its all about. But, if you shoot like I do, you gotta have a big gun - simple as that.

I was thinking the same exact thing. I have a nice Heym in 450 NE that has yet to see Africa. Reading all this Giant Gun talk, and seeing all this Giant Gun Porn, makes me want to biggie size my 450 NE up to 577 NE,...or atleast 500 NE.

Aaron,

You are making way too much money if you can afford one of these 600s. I have passed your street address along to the local "Occupy" folks. Please check your front lawn!

465 - The truth is, the .577 and the up-grade to the .600 is courtesy of my friend/client - Lary Knowlton from Texas. I'm not making too much money, but he apparently is!

Zhaba - My .577 should arrive at Ken's today. Ken says he's waiting for the gun to return from SCI, where he had it on display. So I would expect it won't take too long to get it - can't wait!

Well, the .600 is not quite here yet - hopefully by Friday.

However, I did receive a package from Paul. In it was 10 rounds of .600NE with nickel plated brass, and topped with the 900gr CEB - Solids.

Thanks Paul!!!!!

Aaron,

My pleasure - a 900grain, .620" CEB #13 at ~ 1,950fps should be good elephant brain medicine. Or shoulder, heart, lung, hip, etc. for that matter ...
