A man is in some woods near Macon, Georgia, when he comes upon a rabid dog attacking a small child. He leaps and grabs the animal and throttles it with his bare hands. It so happens that a newspaper reporter witnesses the event. (Yeah, I know, reporters in the woods is already a fairy tale -but this is my joke, OK?) The reporter praises this act of heroism and tells the man that the story will appear as : "Local man kills vicious wild beast attacking young child". The man explains that he is not from Macon. The reporter says: " Then the headline will read " Georgia man kills vicious dog attacking small child". The man says: " I'm not from Georgia. I'm from NY" The reporter says (somewhat in a huff): "Then the headline will read: " Yankee kills family pet". | ||
