perhaps the joke loses something in the translation, but I have read it several times and can't make any sense out of it, let alone figure out what the joke could be.

Just another pathetic try by little Jiri [Roll Eyes] . He tries so hard and does sooo bad [Roll Eyes] . Its like that commercial that has the little black guy trying to fit in, and his friends say "you're just not funny". [Wink] [Razz]

I'm sure you're more fluent in Arabic, why don't you post this joke, if that's what it is, in Arabic.

I find this post and associated link by Jiri:
1. Offensive, and
2. highly puzzling, and
3. not funny.

Why is it on the humor page? The voting issue with President Bush is water under the bridge. Let it go, for Heaven's sake!

Nuking Japan?????

Mystery post, truly.

In my short memory Slick Willie Klinton was the first pres. elected with less than 50% of the vote I suppose this was ok with Jiri. I also found the joke unfunny imho the damned thing needs to be deleted. Wes

Well I got it. It's more like British humour, subtle. WHAT I would like to know is why "Joke Threads" disappear after a couple of days on a site that doesn't censor anything. Thank goodness I made a link to the "cat game". derF

I have only two question:

1. Shall this have been humor?

2. What will have happened to Jiri, now that he may have done many of the same things that Tariq Aziz has?

3. Shall the Czek Republik have been a threat to world peace?

Just because you didn't get the joke, you don't need to take it out on Jiri.

Actually, Jiri, you told the joke well enough, and it would have been funny if you had told it about Stalin, or Ceaucescu, or any of a number of Eastern European "democratically elected" thugs. It falls flat simply because George Bush was legally elected and is obviously of a higher moral quality than most of his detractors, and certainly ALL of his Democrat detractors.

Best stick to guns. You know almost nothing about the U. S. Not to feel bad - I know almost nothing about Czechoslovakia. But I don't make jokes about it.

Jiri:
I weary of posting this up but you must realize something - the US of A is NOT a democracy! We are instead a constitutional repulic. The "vote" you and other's so often refer to is insignificant as we do not vote for an individual in this country but rather vote for electors that cast votes in the electoral college.
Before you post any more of your "Witticisms" please do all of us a favor and study a bit the different forms of government. You must also realize tht there is absolutely no difference between a "Democracy" and "Mob rule" other than the chooing of the user of the term. If we had a "Democracy" where exactly do you think such issues as civil rights, public housing, OSHA, BATF, etc etc. would be today? I think you can see they would be non-existant IF they were dependent upon a majority of voters voting for them. Please, in future posts, read and re-read what you are about to post before you post it up.

I saw this picture a couple of years ago with Bill Clinton behind the Binoculars. If you look closely at GWB, its obvious the picture is doctored.
