How we raise kids in Mississippi

Miss Sally Edwards is a highly esteemed third grade teacher at Grenada County Elementary. In an effort to prepare her students for the all-important TAKS test, she compiled an exam consisting of 20 questions, which she administered to her class last Tuesday. The exam purposely covered a broad array of topics.

I call your attention to question # 11, which simply read:

Now, could you possibly imagine that 67% of the students gave the following answer?













1. DOVE SEASON

2. DEER SEASON

3. DUCK SEASON

4. TURKEY SEASON

Looks like an A+ to me.

If more of the kids knew this correct answer, we would have a lot less crime.

Being from MS, and recognizing this is the humor section, my wife and I immediately got the answer!

We'd be a better country if kids in our schools actually did answer that question that way!

Why the heck are they giving the TAKS test in Mississippi? I think that would be the first clue that there was a problem!
