SAHSA Airlines, The national carrier for Honduras 'till about 1994. SAHSA stood for Service Aero de Honduras, Sur America also referred to as Stay At Home, Stay Alive! We landed a SAHSA DC3 on the beach at Roatan in 1976, the airstrip was THE beach, we promptly got it stuck in the sand. Yes, the passengers were expected to get out and push, somehow we got it loose, and they were gone............. Must've worked, they came back a week later and got us. | |||
