posted The other day, me, my sister and my father went for a little bit of makrell fishing in a fiord not far from us.
Man that is fun. I think we got about 10. Some quite nice in size, some not as big 
Great fun to catch from the shore on spinning gear.
A live little makrell, just before it was trown back. (to small and not hurt)
Guess who got the smallest fish, and the fewest.

Macerel look like they could put up a good fight on light tackle,,I've never had a chance to fish for them. In the spring we could sometimes buy "tinkers" which are no more than about 8 " long . Throw them right on the grill .Makrell are good eaten cold also.
