Makrell fishing in Norway
The other day, me, my sister and my father went for a little bit of makrell fishing in a fiord not far from us.

Man that is fun. I think we got about 10. Some quite nice in size, some not as big Smiler

Great fun to catch from the shore on spinning gear.

A live little makrell, just before it was trown back. (to small and not hurt)

Guess who got the smallest fish, and the fewest.

My father and sister with some of the catch.

Nice place or what?

Summer is fine....

Nice place? It's almost as beautifull as your sister,,It would be a good day fishing if I did'nt catch a thing with her around. Wink Macerel look like they could put up a good fight on light tackle,,I've never had a chance to fish for them. Clay

Makrell, one of my favorites ! In the spring we could sometimes buy "tinkers" which are no more than about 8 " long . Throw them right on the grill .Makrell are good eaten cold also.

Thats a neat fish. I like the camo paint job on its top side.
