i'm not looking for which brand, but more length, weight class, line capacity/strength etc.
and i'm not speaking of some particular rivers, just hope to go there some day. For Chinook salmon, go to a heavy weight rod, heavier reel and 25-30# test.
The line weights I mentioned are for mono, most folks using braided lines go to double the weight of mono as you can pack plenty on a spinning reel, and there are some advantages fighting snags.
