Is there any possibility that there are Cougar in south central PA? (Gettysburg area)

My son (25) was out in the woods hiking today and saw what appeared to be a large cat at about 150-200 yds. It had a long slender tail, 2-2.5 ft., light tan coat with dark face. Size was difficult to judge, but about the size on a medium-large dog.

From what I've heard in New York, I'd say it was possible. However, it's been quite some time:

Very possible, many sightings in central NY hard on eastern border with Mass. Rumors abound that "they" have released 8 breeding pairs! So much for the excess deer populations. Which coincidentally have crashed over the last two years.
