| Personally, I like the elegance of Talley or Warne mounts. Plus, they are strong and low. |

| Great cartridge for coyotes, antelope and deer. I would put a 4-12X Leupold on it. That's hsys on mine. I like Leupold rings and bases. Enjoy your 240.

| You have discovered killing nirvana! From Mulies on down the .240 wby kills like the plague. All of the Partitions, TSX, Scirocco, the heavy B-Tips, GameKings...they work wonders from the ol 240. 4831, 4350, 414, RL22, RL19, all fantastic choices. And while standard primers work great, magnums will also provide consistant loads. Easy on the shoulder and exciting on the other end. Really a fun gun. |

| Thank you for the advice. I have ordered talley integral rings in medium height for my 3x10 sheppard scope. I'll get pictures up soon, I dropped my camera in the Big Horn River in montana. There are quite a few places with factory ammo on sale, but mostly the lighter weights.
One thing that concerns me is that the length of pull is awfully short for me and when I run the bolt with the rifle mounted it comes within a few inches of my forehead. I may try and find a lightweight synthetic stock that fits me a little better and more suited to being roughed up. |
