Remington call their fluted barrel they use on their XCR model 7 a "magnum contour". How does that compare to the usual availble contours...is it like a Fluted no4 contour??? I'm asking because I'm wanting to put a short, stiff, fluted barrel on my 7 in probably 6mmBR Norma. I'm looking at a Lija No4 contour fluted about 18 or 19" length but were curious what contour remingtons compared too.I still want light weight but would like a stiff tube to really bring out the accuracy the 6mmbr can provide. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Call Dan. He maintains most of the commercial contours; I had him make me a specific profile five years ago. ![]()
