How to load plinking rounds?

I am interested in loading some low recoil plinking rounds for a few pistol calibers. 9mm, 357/38, 45ACP, and 45 Colt.
What I am looking for is a lower recoil still accurate load. How would I go about finding these loads in the loading books? Do I just start out with the minimum and work up from there to get a semi decent accurate load? Or is there some other way to get low recoil accurate loads for each caliber?

First find the lead target bullets,38 would be 148 grain 45 would be a 200 grain as with the 45 and shoot target loads. Good Luck
