I just got my new Kimber 84 Montana.

This thing is cool. I have lightweight talley low mounts and a Zeiss conquest 2.5-8 scope. It weighs 6.25lbs without ammo.

This is an amazing package that makes my Ruger ultralight feel like a log.

I will report back after shooting. Let's hope I got a good one and it shoots!

...and she shoots!

Nothing great the first day out, maybe 1.5"---but good enough to know it's not all over the place. Packing up and sending off for paint and cerakote.

Recently bought one in .260Rem. Very sweet and great to shoot.

Just sent mine off for bedding and cerrakote.

GDOG what stock colour/finish are you going with?

Cheers, Chris

I have one in 300 WSM also with the Zeiss 2.5 to 8 Conquest mounted in Talley one piece ring/bases. It makes for a nice, light combo. With factory ammo it is not a MOA gun, but it is plenty accurate for a lightweight hunting rifle.

7-08 and .243 here. Mine would not do better then about 1-1/2" until I switched to a Barnes TSX and IMR 4350 Then they both produced sub 1/2" at 100.
Cheers!

Paint will be black and OD green webbing, on dark grey. Matte black cerakote.

GDOG sounds great. I still have to select a colour for the Cerakote.

Mine shoots three to four bullets touching, with 1 or 2 fliers in a five shot group. I am hoping bedding will sort that out.

Cheers, Chris
