BRNO Fox Model 2 Hornet

I recently came by a BRNO Fox Model 2 Hornet -- double set triggers, detachable magazine, etc. It looks like it's going to be a great little shooter. However, the magazine (which is long enough for .222's) is blocked at the rear to shorten it and while its abbreviated length is fine for Hornet factory loads with round nose bullets, it is too short for the newer plastic tipped spitzers -- and those shoot MUCH better in this gun than the old RNs.

I don't want to go attempting to modify (translation: potentially ruining) this magazine by removing the block unless I can find another magazine to replace it. It looks identical to the magazine for the current CZ 527, which is readily available, however, does anyone know for sure if a CZ 527 magazine will fit the BRNO Fox Model 2?

I will not say I am 100% certian, but the BRNO rifle I looked at was the exact same action as the CZ 527.

For the $35 a magazine costs, I would just order one... you should be able to return it if not?

I was able to find a CZ 527 magazine for a .221 Fireball -- it fits my BRNO Fox like a glove. It has a shorter block in it which would be perfect for longer Hornet loads, so I'm going to see if I can bend the magazine lips close enough that they will retain the smaller diameter Hornet cases.
