put the above in layaway at cabela's. seems to be in good condition. anybody have one or had one. what do you think of them.

Have one in 308, bought it in the 80's as a barreled action. It's one of my favorites. I had it in a Richards thumbhole stock for many years, then I got better. Cool

I found a factory stock and now it fits me like a glove.

Mine is a 60s vintage with the heavy barrel. Nice rifle. Very accurate. Kills deer with 85 grain TSXs like there's no tomorrow. It is heavy though.

I have two Foresters. 308 and .243. I enjoy them. Both stocks fitted to me.

I have the older L57 in .243. It is a great rifle - very accurate and perfect for the small deer where I hunt.
