Just picked up my first Cooper, admired them for a while and wwhen this one became available when the guy got tired of waiting and backed out I decided to scoop it. Heard they are great shooters, my first AI caliber too, any input on rifle or caliber appreciated

congrats on your purchase of a truly fine rifle. I have two of them, and am nothing but happy with them. When I am feeling flush, another one, a model 52 Custom Classic will join the stable.

Nice find. Can you post pictures?

I've just started loading for the 25-06 AI myself. I hope to get mine up and running well for winter coyotes.

i have never fooled with a 25AI. i use the standard 25-06 with great effect on groundhogs and deer. same load with RL 22 and hornady 100 grain interlocks. are you guys pleased with the AI? is there a noticable difference between the standard and AI round? I get around 3330fps with my load and deer go down like they are being attacked by a shark. typically they fall, raise up then go down like something is pulling with great force.

i think it is outstanding in its regular form, but i have never fooled with a 257 wby. i just wonder that if the increased velocity would necessitate the use of more expensive bullets.
