well I have been messing around with some Burger VLDs 95gr in the 243 Win Weatherby vangard and have had some very very good results even thow it says on the box to use them in a 1-9" twist or faster they are stabilizing in my 1-10" twist.. and have tryed 5 differant powders and the best resaluts come from Reloader 19 in both a 43.0gr charge and a 43.5gr charge at 100 yards and 43.5gr charge a remington case and a remington 9.5 primer I was able to keep 5 shots just under 1" and at 200 yards it was 1.25" and at 300 it was 1.85".

Needless to say I have found my deer hunting load.. I am going to do some more experimenting using Nosler cases and some CCI BR-2 benchrest primers to see if the grups can be tightened up a little more. but for just a basic case and primer I cant be more happy.. This 243 winchester in the Weatherby Vanguard has to be one of the better guns I have played with as fare as being extreamly accuret out of the box and very easy to work on.. considering that they are a very afortibal fire arm..
Not that I am new to them I have a 300 Weatherby mag (wich shoots a 180gr Barns TSX at 3260fps and can hit a one gallon milk juge at 300 yards cold bore) and a 308 winchester as well in them it is just that it seems that it is very easy to loaed for them and make some slight changes to them with out breaking the bank $$ wise

Great job. RL 19 has been good to me in my .257 Rob. 1.8" @ 300yrds is outstanding.

You picked an excellent powder for your 243, Ive loaded about the same amount using 95SSTs for a coworkers 243, he liked the results. And RE19 works great in my 6mm Rem, too.

Good to hear RL19 works,...I have been using varget with 35 grains being the best with oal of 2.287" winchester brass cci primers

Photo is 2 shot groups at 100yards 33-35 grains top to bottom, different oals of 2.209, 2.247, and 2.287 left to right. You can really see my a-bolt micro hunter likes the longer oal of 2.247 with all powder charges and prefers 35grain powder charge at all the oals
