I just checked Gunbroker and Featherweights in various calibers are in the 700-800$ range for starters.
You may find someone to pay a slight premium for the 257 if they are nuts for them however they are not nearly as rare as a couple other chamberings, nice round though.
Welcome to AR!

Snellstrom:

years ago when I went to where they were auctioning off the estate of Pete Serafin up there in Roseburg, they had a batch of New Model 70 barreled actions from the mid 80s....

I was hanging loose hoping to pick up a good deal on one in 250 Savage and one in 257 Roberts, as they had about 7 or 8 of each....

Believe it or not, those barreled ACTIONS went on average between $900.00 to $1200.00 EACH!!!

This was around 2000....Needless to say I came home empty handed.... I was hoping something like $250.00 each....

boy was I either off base or the crowd was friggin nuts

last I checked bidding on a Fw6.5x55 was up at $1075!!!!!, hell I can buy a 270w or 06 and have it rebarreled for that...but 700-800 sounds about right for a good 257r or 7x57.

I have a model 70 XTR featherweight in 257 Roberts and live in B.C. Canada EVERY TIME I tell someone about this rifle I am askied if I what to sell it! I have had it for 20+ years and it has taken animals from black tail deer up too an including elk with the right bullet. I think they are great and would not sell for the world. I have many other calibers from 257 Roberts through 7mm wsm, 7mm Wby Mag, 300 Wby mag and 340 Wby mag. All do the job that they are meant for you can do many things with this diverse caliber. Good luck Jim..

I would think 800 would be a fair price.
But I saw a push feed .308 today for 800.00 so it depends on how fast you want to sell it. !
