McMillan makes a synthetic stock that will fit the tang safety Ruger M77. | |||

I found one on Ebay a couple years ago, cut it down for my youngest son rather than cutting the wood stock. Ebay and Gunbroker would be my first places to look. Good luck with yours | |||

Try Gun Parts (Numrich) they used to have a lot of 77 tang safe stocks made by Ruger, some of which were never even for sale on complete rifles by the company. | |||
