If its legal in your state and you want to use it use it, if it's not then don't, and quite bellyaching about the folks who can and do. If they loose a deer its on them and them alone, if not and it makes them happy so be it.

Ethics and all that crap being argued about is about as old as dirt, give it a rest already. JEEEZZ

Thanks for your time.....

Mike, Don’t read the 223 threads if they upset you. Those guys are fighting because they like to. They love it. It’s become a pastime to them now. No need to drive yourself nuts over it, because it’s not going to stop. Wink

LOL Mike, I told you these guys have nothing better to talk about. The 223 gives them something to do to fill the time between getting home from work and bedtime and from waking up and going to work. Big Grin

Here's an idea. A separate .223 forum! Keep all the crazies in one area and if they bleed over, simply direct them to the .223 board!.. old

Had coffee with a friend today. He has a small place and let his Pastor hunt on it. He got 3 doe and a buck--all one shot with .223.

This thread is enuff .223 already. I agree it's such a ho hum deal. Shoot em .223 bang flop. Lets move down to .222's and if they are too much we'll keep moving down until it's a challenge. Anybody ever taken one with a sling shot?

Agreed enough already, might as well move on to something a bit more controversial like politics or religion.

Can hardly wait till they get a .17 cal deer bullet on the market, that is going to make for some great topics.

The biggest problem that I see is it spams up the forum. There are too many of these threads and the'll go away for a while only to come back in a month or two. I suggested a sticky to act as a repository for these spam producing threads, but the moderator shot it down. In my mind, a sticky is the answer, all future 223 for deer threads can be recycled into that one thread and leave the rest of us to our sanity.

There is just way too much emotional BS in those types of threads.

Nope, no slingshot BUT a couple with 22 LR and more with 22 mag. Cool And yes it is LEGAL, and the only bang flops were head shots.

Damn! Three deer with one shot. I didn't realize a .223 was THAT potent! But then, if a preacher said it, it's gotta be true, right? I know they are the favored cartridge for DG back up by PHs and a lot of Cape bullalo are killed with them but WOW. I guess he was using one of the dollar a pop magic bullets. Wink
