How about putting a sticky topic in the small-bore forum of one of the many '.223 for deer' topics. This would act as a repository for the never ending arguement and, thus, keep an otherwise resourceful fourm from getting all spammed up with these highly emotional threads.

It seems about the time the forum gets back to nomal, someone has to repost the same question and eyeball gouging begins all over again. If we just had a sticky then the lunacy would be restricted to one spot and the rest of us can get on with our santiy.

Stickies have proven ineffective against morons and 'bad actors'.

Certain 'bad actors' (we all know who they are) dredge up hot-button topics just to get the arguments rolling.

Put them on ignore; eventually, all the jerks will be in your ignore list.

In the interim, do not engage in those discussions that irritate you; the 'bad actors' will lose interest when they lose their audience.
