Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Some never pay and some pay and never reap the reward. Wisdom comes with age! Sometimes age comes alone..

carpetman1Until a few years ago, people could kill deer with a .223, then so much was written about it on the internet that the deer became educated and knew a .223 wouldn't hurt them. Savage learned that Axis deer weren't reading the internet and designed the Axis in .223 for AXIS deer ONLY (wont work on whitetails or mule deer----too educated). Mr bartsche, I really made all that up, I have no experience with the Savage Axis, but didn't want you to think you were being ignored.

Cold Trigger FingerThe Edge I had in 223 was by and large unbelievably accurate. Just an amazing rifle, considering the $269.00 price.
Phil Shoemaker : "I went to a .30-06 on a fine old Mauser action. That worked successfully for a few years until a wounded, vindictive brown bear taught me that precise bullet placement is not always possible in thick alders, at spitting distances and when time is measured in split seconds. Lucky to come out of that lesson alive, I decided to look for a more suitable rifle."

kc9ljoI have one with the non accu-trigger, and I really like it. The synthetic stocks are not very good. But the gun is very accurate and the trigger is easy to work on if you're so inclined.

Does the trigger guard come with the Boyd's stock ?
