new in group, new at reloading.I loaded up a batch of.223s that were supposed to be 2.250 OAL, but I managed to make them 2.2250 or so, averaging about three hundredths undersize. is that margin safe, or do I have to tear apart 350 reloads and do again? Your experienced advice appreciated.

I personnaly have never had any trouble with "under length" loads. It is when they are too long and engage the riflings that you have pressure problems. If I know that the load ( powder and bullet combination) is a safe load then having them further back from the riflings is safe and I would shoot them. Who knows you may find that your rifle likesthem that far off the lands it may be more accurate. Good luck.

It has the potential to change your Group Size - maybe better, maybe worse. Best to change from OCL to ODL and then you don't have to worry about it. Best of luck to you.

As mentioned, should be safe to shoot. Try them and see how the accuracy is affected. Depending on the purpose, you may want to 'tear them apart' anyway, after you've shot some.
