Sam, I shoot both a .257 Robts AI and a 22-250 AI. I did chamber casts because the necks can vary from reamer to reamer because of its wildcat status.

I haven't done a cast of my chamber, but new 2.035" 7mm-08 brass doesn't hit the end of the neck in my chamber. I found a 7-08 case that had grown significantly past 2.035" and trimmed it back a hair at a time until it just cleared the chamber case mouth, and trimmed another .010". I just make sure that all my brass is uniform length from the get-go so I get uniform bullet pull. The cases don't grow like the standard 7mm-08, so one initial trimming lasts as long as the case.

For someone who can't feel cases hit the end of the chamber mouth, Cerosafe is a good idea.
