458-404 jeffery 2.65" (450 jeffery short)
Last night in my wildcat garage i necked up a 404 jeffe case to 458 that was trimmed at 2.65" stuffed it with a 500 gr 458 tsx...

damn that would feed great!

the shoulder is good enough and does not need improving imho. 20 thou per side.

it would be a 450 jeffe short.

it is like the 450 vincent long but unimproved and i like it better that way. http://www.accuratereloading.com/450vl.html

looking at it the best way to describe it is a supersize 400 whelen (unimproved)

the good...

use avaliable reamers
use common and wide variety of cheap to premium 458 bullets
cheap avaliable actions
458 lott performance+ (500@2300)
no belt
EXCELENT feeding and extraction
can be formed from cheap rum brass if desired and no boltface work.

the 458 a.r. is better but i thought this was a fun idea
