4D has a 30 cal.
30/376

Otherwise it's a weird evolutionary dead end, goofy overall length, and goofy case head size. Since it's kinda a wildcat itself of the 9.3x64, maybe Europeans have played around with it?

seen several.. if you lengthened the case and necked it to 424, it would interesting.. oh, wait, 10,75x68 .. its not a unique case

I was tempted several years ago to build an 8mm/376, goodness knows why other than I had an 8mm barrel & it seemed as it would be interesting. I soon saw sense & figured it wouldn't do much more than a 8mm-06 & less than a 7mm Rem mag necked up to 8mm, both of which would be better from the point of view of brass & die availability. Still got that 8mm barrel & a part box of .376 cartridges, I've swopped out most of the rest with mates for their cartridge collections.

I have often thought this would be interesting without the rim in a short action.

There used to be old european caliber 10,75x57 (.404 bullet) with rimless case.
