With new Ruger brass (375,300,and 338 RCM) why would one use a belted case for wildcats. I am thinking of a 35 short on a mauser action. Iam not worried about dies reamers etc I just want what works best. I am thinking 350 rem mag or 35 rcm. Suggestions

some folks like belts.. ginger or marrianne? BOTH, of course..

the RCM and full length are going to be fun to play with.. but, seriously, a 375 ruer will fit in a mauser aciton, and can be loaded down to anything a 35 can do.. and 35 is one of my favs.

E Fudd,
Manson can supply a 35/300RCM reamer, we called it the 358CRG. Early indications using dummy brass is a case capacity between 4-6% less than a 35WSM (35Sambar). Dummies were placed into an M98 action and fed like goose snot from the magazine! Hopefully rifles will be chambered early next year, then we need to sort out dies ... probably honed out Hornady 300RCM dies.
Cheers...
