This is an excellent thought.....but it's not my cup of tea. I'd far prefer to go up a caliber than use a VLD .22 bullet. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." Fair enough. Those heavy 22 calibre bullets kill very well for me. | |||

The reamer arrived today. It's from JGS and it's spectacular.....a very fine job I must say /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." I've owned and shot a 77 Ruger 220 Swift, since 1973. I have worn out one barrel, and had Ruger replace that in 1995. Never had a feeding problem with this rifle, and of course I installed a Canjar trigger. I just shot the obligatory, once a year group, unless we are shooting gophers, after over 600 rounds, still less than a half inch. The Swift is just a bitchen cartridge, and has no reason for anyone to fault it. Of course the previous statement only applies to those who are experts, and have shot it quite a bit.
